Can multiple user roles be assigned to the same user?
You may define several access roles for any user. The TriDoc system allows assigning different access roles.
To the access roles you may set the following access rights:
▪ Function access rights
▪ Category access rights
Project access rights may only be set for the users!
Does TriDoc support LDAP Authentication?
Yes, TriDoc can authenticate users from LDAP.
To set the password policy parameters got to the Administration / System settings menu and set the parameters 121-126.
If a person leaves the company and is replaced by another one should we put the old user inactive and add the new user? - Are both users counted for the license ?
Inactive users are not counted for the license, so we suggest to inactivate the user and create a new one for the new colleague. (If you delete the old user, all data connected to him is lost. But data connected to inactive users are displayed in lists.)
If the new colleague has to overtake some tasks from the previous one you can also set him as a proxy, so all tasks and rights will automatically transfered to the new colleague.
In case of sickness or vacation how can I be replaced it by another user?
Every user can enter proxies for himself in the User settings menu item, and only the proxies who belong to the given user can be seen there.
Designate a proxy who takes over all of your assigned duties in your absence.
The central management of proxies also provides a user possessed of appropriate authorization with the opportunity to set up proxies for others.
Is there a limit on the number of users?
Yes, the TriDoc standard licence contains 5 users, which means that you can have 5 active users simultaneously.
If you need access for additional users, you can extend the licence simply by purchasing and activating additional licences. Such licences can also be basic licence packages or extension licences.
